WHY
​
Daily team meeting permit to exchange all necessary informations and key points to watch to achieve daily targets and boost team. It give teams energy and improve communication flow.
HOW

Create an appropriate dashboard with a standardized factory frame. Define the good location

Use short term KPI (ideally measurable "in live"). Main KPI should focus on Safety, Quality, Quantity.

Plan the TOP 5 each day. Meeting happen at the beginning of the shift period (in few cases at the end).

Coach people to TOP 5 sense and objectives. It should not be a descending debrief, everyone should be able the express himself freely.

Meeting must be prepare in advance to set clear target

Team leaders should really listen to problems and solve them everyday

Repeat the meeting everyday

Improve the meeting frequently
WHAT
​
We usually name it "Top 5" because of the duration : 5 minutes maximum. It is a short stand up meeting focusing on each team performances (results of yesterday, target of today, points to care). Led by the team leader (or a substitute) on the field using a dashboard available/visible at anytime within the production day. It should permit also to raise all problems but do not treat them during this meeting. Possible to display the workstation distribution of the day (who go where in case of multiskill). A good practice consist to include in the 5 minutes a short physical warm up.
