The company purpose provide a guide for Decision Making. Sense you have defined for your playing field creates very strong foundations that gives purpose to your daily actions. It give coherency, energy and motivation to all teammates.

WHAT

It is single powerful sentence, starts with a verb, communicates the "why", Uses language your constituents use (plain language). It is specific, memorable and concise.

  • Google : "To organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful"

  • Tripadvisor : "To help around the world plan and have the perfect trip"

  • Ikea : "To create a better everyday life for the many people"

HOW

  1. To identify the team to define the purpose (sponsor - founder ...)
  2. To obtain from team members answers to following questions:​










     

  3. All together, and according to all inputs, write the purpose statement.

  4. Remarks : Read other companies’ mission statements, but write a statement that is about you and not some other company.

  5. For the rest of your business’s life, review and revise it as needed.

  1. Why did you create this organization/company?

  2. What's your problem and what's your solution?
    What do you provide to your customer?
    What makes you different from your competitor?

  3. What do you provide to your employees?
    Why people want to work for you?

  4. What do you provide to company owners?
    Why people want to invest in your company ?
    What incentive do you have for them ?
