The boilers are used in the factories in order to get energy and heat for the processes used. The boilers can create steam or electricity or can heat oil that will transfer this heat in the process. Our processes have a strong Environmental Impact and we need to master the boilers to make it as efficient as possible to reduce the consumption and the CO2 Emissions of the sites
WHAT
​
Increase the efficiency of the boiler to produce heat with less fuel means less C02 Emissions
BOILER EFFICIENCY CALCULATION​
Efficiency (%) = (Energy Output / Energy Input) X 100
​
Calculation of direct efficiency :
E= [Q (H-h)/q*GCV]*100
Where,
Q= Quantity of steam generated (kg/hr)
H= Enthalpy of steam (kcal/kg)
h= Enthalpy of water (kcal/kg)
GCV= Gross Calorific value of the fuel.

The real time efficiency calculation is the best practice. Monitoring and maintaining the boiler efficiency for the overall operational life of the boiler is a must to cut CO2 Emissions and fuel bills

HOW
​
1 - Select the good fuel : we encourage you to use biomass boiler with a closed loop system to make sure that we replant the trees for example. Biomass is a renewable source. Coal has a strong impact on CO2 and should be avoided considered as non-renewable.
2 - Install the good meter for steam or electricity : to measure is the best way to optimize.
3 - Calculate the efficiency of the boiler
4 - Maintain the efficiency at minimum level of 80%

Renewable fuel for boilers : biomass, rice husk, wood
Non-renewable fuel : Coal, Diesel, Natural Gas, Oil have a strong impact on CO2 Emissions
BENEFITS

Reducing the consumption decrease the CO2 Emissions and also Resources Depletion if you burn non-renewable fuel like Coal, Diesel or Natural Gas
